Magali Dela Cruz works at Sautter Cigars Shop, 106 Mount street, Myfair, London. A lot of Cuban cigar aficionados know her. She is Cuban, she is from Sancti Spiritus. It’s a great pleasure to speak with her. Enjoy and learn something….

1)Where and why did you smoke your first cuban cigar?

I smoke my very first Cigar at 8 years old..
I was in Cuba and quite curious with the fact that my mum roll cigars at home for my grandfather;
we (my sisters and I)  help my father on the Tobacco plantation all the time…so I want to try and know the flavor and smell of a Cigar.

My mum did a little one for my sister and for me, we smoked it and were sick all day long…I lost my voice..worst to happen to me… but I did love it that much that I do remember to run always behind my Grandfather to try and smell from his cigars (which were always made by my Mum using our own Tobacco leave)

2)which is your best vitola?

My favorite Vitola is Lonsdale…I find it so elegant and it deliver a great smoke.

Magali y Gerardo Medina

3)the best cuban cigar smoking Of your life.

The best Cuban Cigar smoked on my life: Every single cigar I do smoke it special for me, few more remarkable than others, but great indeed…Now my God Cigar: Cuban Dunhill Don Candido 502′

4)When do you light your first cigar Of the day?

After lunch, it’s quite rare for me to smoke early morning; I do so only when in a Cigar event or making some special tasting.

5) please tell us if you like to smoke a cigar with single malt, rum , coffee or something else…

For me each cigar can be blend with different drinks, it depends where I am and what time of the day it’s.

Muchissima gracias Magali, tenga un buen humo.

    I’m not sure exactly why but this site is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.

    I relate to not being pinned down. I smoked Cubans for hours in Munich many years ago; they were accompanied with a black Russian. Many good poems came from that evening. Most days, though, I will light up in the afternoon or early evening; in that case, I will have an espresso or black coffee.

    naturally like your website however you need to test the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very troublesome to tell the reality on the other hand I’ll definitely come again again.
