Nikki Winters is the producer and co-host of Smoke Good Drink Good Live Radio. She is also a writer for Smoke Good Drink Good magazine, City Cigar Life magazine and Stogie♥ (StogieLuv) magazine. She likes smoking with other B/SOTL in social settings. She tells those who don’t smoke cigars, it’s a lifestyle, not a hobby.

When did you start to smoke cigar?

I started smoking cigars about 2 years ago.

Why did you start to smoke cigar?

I had been introduced to cigars about 5 years ago. I tried one then, but I didn’t like the taste of it. Then 2 years ago I met a friend (Eric Wheeler) at the Tinderbox in Waldorf and he took the time to explain the different strengths, leaves and tobacco in cigars. He suggested I try a milder cigar and since then I’ve been hooked.

How many cigars do you smoke during the day?

It depends on the time of year and how my work week is going. During the winter months I tend to smoke more on the weekends. During the summer months I’ll smoke at least 2 a day.

Which is the best place you have smoked a cigar?

On the peace and serenity of my front porch with my music and wine.

What do you use to cut the cigar?

I use a Colibri V cutter to cut all my cigars. I love the draw a V cut gives me.

How do you feel while you are smoking?

I feel peaceful, powerful, sexy, relaxed, clear headed and tranquil. I don’t feel all of these with every cigar I smoke. The way I feel when I smoke depends a lot on what’s going on in my life.

When do you light your first cigar of the day?

I light my first cigar of the day after I get off from work. There is nothing like coming home, relaxing and firing up a stick and PSSITA to all the worries or troubles of that day. I can relax with my cigar and a nice glass of wine.

What is the cigar for you?

The cigar for me is good flavored medium bodied or Maduro cigar. I have so many that I keep as my go to cigars. As long as it has a good flavor, tight ash and nice burn, I’m happy.

It was a real pleasure discuss with you about cigar, Nikki. Good ashes.
