“Robusto„

176/267

Everything revolves around the robusto. This size , 124 mm . per 50 of cepo , it is the vitola  the most sold in recent years.

Is it because modern life does not leave much free time , the robusto gives you the  possibility of  the rich mouthful , but having a limited duration .

To smoke a robusto , it takes forty to fifty minutes. Many smokers can take advantage of the lunch break to enjoy one.

Back to the market now. The robusto with arrogance prevailed in the early 2000s . Over the years went by , more Robustos were smoked.

I defy any aficionado who does not know what vitola corresponds to a Series D n 4 or an Epicure n.2 .

In addition to Partagas and Hoyo de Monterrey, robusto was among the  Cohiba , Juan Lopez, Ramon Allones , Bolivar, Romeo y Julieta .

Other brands have done a robusto slightly narrower and longer than the size of which is called hermoso n. 4 .

These include : Vegas Robaina , El Rey del Mundo , Romeo y Julieta , H.Upmann , Saint Luis Rey .

The size of a hermoso n. 4  is  mm.127 for cepo 48 . At first sight  hermoso n. 4 is equal to the robusto.

The worldwide success of the robusto brought Habanos SA , to create new vitolas , but all satellites robusto.

Hoyo de Monterrey made the Petit Robusto  , mm.102 for cepo 50 . Partagas made Serie D No. 5, cepo 50 mm.110 , first as a limited edition , then was placed on the market as regular vitola .

Montecristo  brought out first the Edmundo , cepo 52 mm.135 , an elder brother of the robusto, then the Petit Edmundo , cepo 52 mm.110 .

Cohiba made a new line to which it gave the name of Maduro. Among the cigars in this line are the Genios , cepo 52 mm.140 , and Magicos cepo 52 mm.115 .

And the success continues to grow so much so that Cohiba has entered another new line,  Behike , which is in BHK 52 , Laguito n.4, mm.119 for cepo 52 , a new close relative of the  robusto.

Oh yes my dear aficionados, everything revolves around robust.

Following, Italian version.

When you mention Cohiba and Montecristo, does that generally mean the Cuban or US version? Thanks.
